Nordic Walking Watford has always enjoyed a very flexible cancellation policy in that you have been able to cancel your place on a walk right up to the start time of the walk, with no penalty.

This has enabled you to book your walks well in advance knowing that if something comes up or you no longer wish to join the walk, you can easily cancel your place.

Unfortunately, as our numbers grow and we have a waiting list for a number of our walks, this generous policy is no longer appropriate and very often means:

  • someone else who wanted to join the walk is unable to
  • a walk leader will have left home to deliver the walk only to find on arrival that everyone has cancelled
  • a walk leader has to rearrange a route or change the lesson plan at the last minute to accommodate the changes to bookings

With effect from 1st June 2021, I will be introducing a LATE CANCELLATION POLICY which will apply to all of our activities. I fully appreciate that many of you are looking after elderly relatives or grandchildren and emergency situations do arise. In these situations, I will obviously be understanding and flexible.

All activities, classes, courses, and events are available to book online at https://nordicwalkingwatford.co.uk/activities/

You are required to book these activities in advance to secure your place and to ensure the health and wellbeing of you and other participants.

You are free to cancel your booking using the booking system https://nordicwalkingwatford.co.uk/ up to 24 hours before a walk commences (48 hours before a POWER OF POLES COURSE).   If you need to cancel your booking within 24 hours (48hours for courses) of the start time of the event, you must contact Tracy Reeve by telephone on 07792 070286. Please do not remove yourself from the attendance list.

Any refund will be discretionary and will be dependent on you contacting Tracy Reeve (or nominated deputy) in advance. If you are a Direct Debit member you may be charged the full walk price. When there is a special event listed the LATE CANCELLATION policy may be more than 24 or 48 hrs and will be noted in the walk description.

If you fail to attend a walk, you will not receive a refund or as a Direct Debit member, you will be charged the full walk price.

If we should cancel an activity, you will of course receive a full refund.

A late cancellation policy is a courtesy to other walkers and our walk leaders.
