Great news! We have been given the go-ahead to resume our wonderful group walks!
Under current government guidelines, as a formally ORGANISED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY with COVID SECURE protocols in place, we are able to resume group walks of up to 30 people with effect from next Monday 29th March.
Given that it will be School Holidays, I have made the decision to delay starting our walks until Monday 12th April so that we can avoid busy parks and leisure areas over the Easter period.
Our booking system will go live on THURSDAY 25TH MARCH AT 9AM
Numbers will also be limited to 12 or 15 in the first instance until we are confident that larger groups can be taken safely.
Thank you all for your continued support during lockdown 3 and for keeping up your Nordic Walking.
It has been lovely to see your photos and what better time to be returning to our group walks, just as Spring is starting and the Bluebells will be making an appearance in our local Woodlands.
Please ensure that you continue to follow our Covid Secure guidelines – these are detailed below.
Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and you discuss any changes to your health or medication with your walk leader.
Please do not attend our walks if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
We will be following strict social distancing protocols during our walks and following all government guidelines.
We strongly advise all walkers to use the contact tracing app when it is available.
You will need to have a face-covering available and ready to use for all walks, as well as hand sanitizer.
Poles will not be available to hire for individual walks. However, if you do not have your own, we may be able to loan poles for an extended period – please contact Tracy.
The NWW Team and I, very much look forward to walking with you all again x
